Is your destination Northwest Florida or are you just passing through along Interstate 10? Are you interested in enjoying and evening outside your camper or RV watching a beautiful sunset or sitting by a campfire roasting marshmallows? Either way, this campground is your destination or a ‘must stop’ along your vacation path.
The Fish Camp is a rustic campground located at the south-end of the Blackwater Bay at the entrance of the Yellow River. This is the location of some of the best Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Brim fishing along waterways of Northwest Florida. In addition to the some incredible fishing this area of the Blackwater Bay borders the untouched and unspoiled miles and miles of acreage that is part of Eglin Air Force Base. This beautiful playground of nature that boasts huge cypress trees and miles of waterways is also the home to eagles, ospreys, hawks and blue herons.
Don’t stay at those large campgrounds where you are squeezed into a space that isn’t more than five feet away from your neighbors’ camper. This campground has nearly one and a half acres dedicated to four campsites and a view of the Blackwater Bay. The campground includes a fire-ring for cooking or just enjoying the evening. Also, there is an ice machine with free ice for your coolers and picnic tables.
If you bring your boat then the fee for the campsite will include a boat slip and launch fees. The Fish Camp also has a boat ramp that launches right into the Blackwater Bay.
