Do you enjoy fishing for speckled trout and redfish, the sound of frogs singing in the evening, beautiful sunsets and cooking over a campfire? Then you need to reserve some time in this cabin located just off the Blackwater Bay and backed up to thousands of acres of wetland and on the east side of Eglin Air force Base. This cabin is perfect for a long weekend get-away or a whole week of complete relaxation. This rental is completely turn-key ready.
This charming cabin is a one bedroom and located on pilings. It has cedar on the complete outside and the inside, walls – ceilings – and cabinets – is pine. The cabin is completely contained with a full kitchen (stove, microwave, and refrigerator). The kitchen is completely equipped with pots, pans, dishes, and utensils.
The living room is comfortable and has a futon for extra sleeping along with a couch and a 32 inch LCD flat screen TV. The dining room area can seat four. The bedroom has a full bed and full bathroom.
There are two main reasons why you would vacation here… First, if you enjoy awesome freshwater and saltwater fishing then this is the place to be. Bring your boat and fish your heart out. We also own a Fish Camp just 50 yards down from the cabin and your rental rate includes all launch fees and the use of a boat slip (for a boat not to exceed an 8 ft beam, 16 feet long and with a draw of no more than 3 feet). We are located on the very bottom of the Blackwater Bay and about ¼ of a mile from the Yellow River. Take your choice ~ fish freshwater or salt ~ river or bay ~ your choice.
Don’t have a boat? That is fine. We have a 12 foot boat with a 25 horsepower motor that is available for rent.
The second reason to rent this cabin is to ‘just get away for a little while.’ Come down and just fish off the bank of the Fish Camp (50 yards). Rent the boat and go BIRD WATCHING. We have so many different birds everyday to include..

For the evening there is plenty of wood available for a great campfire in our wonderful custom fire-ring. Cook over oak or just seat around the fire and enjoy the smell of pine.
